Boy, I can't believe it's been over three weeks since my first post. Since that post, we've been to three antique and collectible shows -- one in Portland, one at the Tacoma Dome, and one in Puyallup. The Portland one, help at the Portland Expo Center, is huge. We got there at 9:00 when it first opened, and other than the half hour we sat down to eat, we were on our feet for more than six hours. I remembered to take my camera to that show, and took a couple of pictures.

This first picture is a general one showing lots of the booths. This is just one of the three buildings we went through.

The second picture was during our brief lunch break, when we got to rest our weary legs.

It is really hard to do this show in one day, especially during the summer when the booths spill outside to part of the parking area.

The show the next weekend was at the Tacoma Dome. Two different organizers do shows at the Dome, and this show is the smaller of the shows. It was just as well as the state high school basketball tournament was going on at the Tacoma Dome, too. Fortuantely, the Dome is set up to easily accomodate two different functions at the same time.

Last weekend, we went to a show in Puyallup. This show is held at the Western Washington Fair Grounds. Instead of being held in the Exhibit Barns like the show usually is, this time the show was in the Pavillion and Expo Halls. We had a great time, going on Sunday. The show wasn't too busy and we had a pretty easy time going in to all the booths and seeing everything.

Wow! This is my first blog post on my own blog page! Cool! Last weekend, we went to the swap meet at the Midway Drive-In. Always lots of fun -- you never know what you may find. Sadly, this will be the last year (actually, the last Spring) for the swap meet here at Midway. The property has been sold for development. Sounds like we will be getting another Lowe's. Too bad -- the swap meet has been a community institution since 1971.
